Thus bridges is the only major road that transport their goods to major towns to end living, the affected community are the highest community that produce coco, plantain and banana fruit in Cross River State.
Federal Government should come and help the people of Akamkpa Local Government.

Cross River State is a tourist state and for a while now tourism has not really thrive in the state; reasons best known to the government. However, the New Ndebiji fallen Bridge has suddenly become a tourist attraction to politicians especially those seeking to gain votes from the area. They only go there to give press statements, wave at the people and zoom away.
Until this moment, neither the Governor, nor his Deputy or their representatives have visited to area to ascertain what job need to be done quickly to ameliorate the suffering of the people.
And unfortunately, neither the incumbent Senator nor the House of Representatives Member where New Ndebiji falls under have visited the area to see what's happening there and how the people can be supported.
Despite the sufferings that the people are currently going through in the area, some of their elites are busy going around with political office seekers, hosting political meetings and even running commentaries and post about candidates while they forget about what is immediately affecting them. This is because all they care about is their stomach and not their people.
It's often said, "he who wears the shoe knows where it pinches". One wonders why the elites in New Ndebiji and upto Ekang are not feeling the pinch of the shoe they are currently wearing through inaccessibility to their ancestral homes.
It's high time the elites, the people of the area and indeed the entire Akamkpa LGA wake up to their responsibilities by speaking up and asking relevant authorities to act in the area as expected. The ongoing suffering is too much.
