The Minister Of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, exposed the non compliment of contracts and missing funds, in an exclusive chat with the Nation in Abuja, he also said millions of funds, in naira and hard currencies, had been refund by some banks he reacted as 'culpable' in the alleged fleecing of NDDC over the year.
Akpabio also said that the preliminary steps in the forensic audit of the commission ordered months back by President Muhammadu Buhari had begun, adding that the names of the auditing firms that will carry out the functions would soon be announce to the public.
According to Senator Akpabio, the auditing procedures will take longer than four (4) months, making sure that the corrupt system over two decades will be brought to book.
Also said that, however, observed that the cleansing process of the commission by the administration would become one of President Buhari greatest legacies.
